Flax seed raita

Ingredients :

  • 3 Tbsp. flax seeds
  • 1 cup bottle gourd, grated
  • 1 cup curd (low fat)
  • 1/2 cup mint leaves, finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 tsp cumin seeds (coarsely ground), roasted
  • to taste salt
  • 1 Cup water

Method :

  • Combine the bottle guard with water. Cover and cook on a medium flame for 4 minutes.
  • Combine all the ingredients, including the cooked bottle gourd in a deep bowl and mix well.
  • Refrigerate for at least 1 hour and serve chilled
Black Chia Seeds Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • tablespoon chia seeds,
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 handful spinach
  • 2 tablespoons cacao powder
  • 1 cup almond milk

Method:

Combine all ingredients and your preference of ice (depending on desired texture) in a blender. Mix on high for 1 minute. Check consistency and add more liquid if necessary. Spicy Pumpkin Seed Mix

Ingredients

  • 250g mixed seed (sunflower, pumpkin, linseed)
  • 1 tsp rapeseed oil
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp agave syrup
  • pinch cayenne

METHOD:

  • Preheat the oven to 160C/ 140 fan/ Gas mark 3.
  • Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl and spread onto a baking sheet. Cook for 15 - 20 mins until dry and golden. Stir once during cooking. Allow to cool and store in a sealed container for up to 3 weeks.
